Continuity and Subspecialty Clinics

The resident is assigned to continuity clinic one-half day per week.  Residents alternate between General Medicine and Pediatric continuity clinics every other week in the first two years.

In the third and fourth year they transition to the combined Med+Peds Clinic where they see all ages in the same clinic and participate in an integrated Med-Ped Curriculum. The Med-Peds clinic not only allows us to see families (parents, children, grandparents, etc . . . ) it also allows us to see many of the patients transitioning from pediatric subspecialty care to adult subspecialty care. For this reason we see a significant number of very interesting conditions and help to maintain their continuity of care as they transition their care from pediatric to adult neurology, gastroenterology, hematology,  endocrinology,  cardiology,  etc...
