Why LAGMC/USC: Simply, the mission and the people. I wanted to pursue residency at an institution/program dedicated to pushing medicine forward by actively working to aid those structurally disfranchised with regard to their right to health. I found this at LAGMC/USC. Coupled with a personable, supportive, and engaged resident and faculty cohort who have the same vision, it was an obvious choice for me.
